NFT sales avoided the crypto market slump this week, with volume up slightly

Sales of irreplaceable tokens (NFT) managed to hold steady this week, while the crypto economy suffered more losses over the past seven days. NFT sales for 18 blockchains were $152.9 million in the previous week and $154.3 million in sales were executed in the past week. While Ethereum had the most NFT sales this week, the chain's Ethereum-based NFT sales fell 9.23%.

NFT avoided crypto recession this week as NFT sales rose slightly

At the time of writing, approximately $154,366,090 in NFT sales were recorded on 18 different blockchains, which is approximately 0.96% higher than the previous week. NFT Series Boring Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) had the highest sales of all NFT series at $13,292,929, an increase of 1.01% over the past seven days.

BAYC's floor price has dropped to 85.99 ETH ($90,000) in the past 24 hours, 1.2% lower than the previous day. BAYC had 99 buyers this week for boring ape NFT out of more than 158 deals.

The second best-selling collection this week is Sorare, which sells for $11,293,496. Sorare sales were up 201% from the previous week, with 142,903 transactions and 13,492 buyers. Sorare was followed by Otherdeed, which saw its weekly sales increase by approximately 63.65%, with sales increasing by $10,112,650.

While Ethereum's overall sales ($107,656,971) were 9.23% lower than last week, some other blockchains saw a spike in weekly sales. Fantom had the biggest gain this week as NFT sales increased 10,616% in the chain last week.

Panini recorded 228.58% growth, BNB surged 148.97% and Flow Blockchain NFT sales increased 112.53%. Thirteen of the 18 blockchains saw an increase in NFT sales over the past seven days, while chains such as Ethereum, Palm, Arbitrum, Cronos and OEC all saw a decline in sales.

The most expensive NFT sale of the week was Otherdeed 6, which sold for 249.46 Ether or $309K, boring Ape 211 ether or $232,232 ether, and Boring Ape 2,896 ether or $205,000. Last week's top five most expensive NFT sales included an Otherdeed sale and four boring apes.

Opensea was the largest NFT market this week with $113 million in sales, but sales were down 17.24%. Opensea was followed by X2Y2 with $15.33 million in NFT sales and Magic Eden with $15.04 million in sales.

After being the second largest NFT market by sales a few months ago, this week Looksrare now occupies the fourth largest NFT market with sales of $7.12 million, down 3.66% from the previous week.

The biggest floor price increases over the past 24 hours have come from NFT collections such as Impostor Genesis Alien, Lost Poet, Sneaker Head Official, Lilheroes and Creature World.

On June 20, 2022, NFT 30-day sales were down 74.44%, but monthly sales through July 2 were down 65.15%, indicating a slight improvement in sales.
